GM Vidit remains undefeated at European Club Cup ’21, grabs Gold Medal for 2nd Board
GM Vidit Gujarathi along with GM Pentala Harikrishna and GM Sasikaran represented Team Novy Bor in the recently concluded European Club Cup ’21. The team scored two wins, one draw and one loss in the first rounds and easily qualified for the Finals.
However, this tournament was a great success for GM Vidit as he was undefeated throughout the event and played a pivotal role in the team’s success. He finished off with a total tally of 15 points. GM Vidit also grabbed Gold Medal for the second board which was a highlight of the event and this will surely boost his morale before going into the Champions Chess Tour ’21 April event.
