Pre-Olympiad Preparation Camp in Delhi

This year the Indian Olympiad team is extremely strong with the inclusion of Vishy Anand. We are taking our preparation seriously as a pre-olympiad preparation camp was held from 16-23rd march in Radisson Blu, Delhi with coach R.B. Ramesh and the team.

The Indian team is one of the favourites to win the Olympiad 2018 thanks to Vishy Anand’s decision of playing the Olympiad after a gap of 12 years! And he also made it a point to attend the Pre-Olympiad preparation camp for three days.

Always nice to play blitz with the lightning kid!
Chess is not the only sport that we indulged in!

The camaraderie between the players of the team was excellent and we are looking forward to the Olympiad and giving our best. Special thanks to All India Chess Federation and Bharat Singh Chauhan for organizing this camp. I am positive that team India will produce a power packed performance at Batumi in September!

Being felicitated by the AICF Secretary Bharat Singh Chauhan
Live interaction session with the players was held on Faebook! It gave chess fans a chance to interact with us and ask questions
The entire video of the 30 minute session captured by team Nurtr and published on ChessBase India

ChessBase India published a nice article on the next day with the title “I cannot afford a Martial Arts teacher because Anish Giri did not pay me!” The thumbnail of that article was amusing to say the least!
